I am moved by Ida B. Well' undaunted courage fighting racism. Her undaunted courage for justice must be captured in her portait in order to honor who she was as an iconic civil right leader.---Ai Qiu Hopen

In the capital city of the Lincoln Monument, the Washington Monument, the Martin Luther King, Monument, etc… This will be the Ida B. Wells Monument, honoring another great leader in our nation’s Capital.

 Shine the light of her wisdom, courage and love guiding our children and all walk of life forever.

Ida Bell Wells (July 16, 1862 to March 25, 1931), better known as Ida B. Wells, was an African-American journalist, abolitionist and feminist who led an anti-lynching crusade in the United States in the 1890s.
